Aug 16, 2009 · i have a 93 civic ex. i have decided to swap my d16 engine. i wanted to know ho difficult/parts i would need to do a swap with a b16a engine from the 92-95 jdm civic si-r. i am curios because the layout under the hood of the jdm civic appears to be identical to mine aside from the dohc engine. thanks I have a Civic G5 from -93 with the D16Z6 engien and OBD 1 P28 ECU and I?m doing a swap to the JDM B16A engien with OBD 0 PWO ECU from a CRX -91. I have complete wiring systems and ECUs from both cars but i cant get any wiring diagrams from honda sweden or info how to do to make it work... The B16 came in a host of different vehicles ranging from Civic, CRX, Del Sol, and Integra. There are a few different variants of the B16, but they are all mostly the same except for the B16B. The B16B is special because it does not use the normal B16 bottom end. The simple B20/B16 swap costs as follows: $1000-$1500 for the B20 short block, +/- $600 for the B16 head, +/- $300 for the B16 ECU + tranny and other small parts. Unforunately you will also need axles, linkages, mounts, ECM, and a few other parts to complete this swap. Re: b16 swap to eg step by step yeah, sorry it does drop into the eg, but not the ek, the intergra gsr is the civic vti 1.8 engine, as this is whats in my ek. the swap into an eg can be done in a weekend, it will prob take about 6days if going into an ek
